On December 29, 2023, at approximately 5 a.m., 20-year-old Ki'Shaela Wellington was found fatally shot in her vehicle near the intersection of North Kingshighway and Dr. Martin Luther King Drive in St. Louis, Missouri. Responding officers discovered her with a gunshot wound to the head; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
