In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in the Kingsway West neighborhood of Saint-Louis, Missouri, the life of 32-year-old Yuanita Salone was tragically cut short. On February 8, 2023, police were dispatched to the 5100 block of Maffitt Avenue following a report of a burglary. The initial call, which came in at 12:11 a.m., would soon evolve into a homicide investigation.
