On the evening of February 11, 2019, 22-year-old Deja Anderson was found fatally shot inside a parked vehicle in the 4600 block of North Market Street in St. Louis, Missouri. Alongside her was 24-year-old Anthony Ingram, who had also been killed by gunfire in what the police have classified as a double homicide.
Officers were initially called to the scene around 9:00 p.m. for a report of a suspicious vehicle.
Upon their arrival, they discovered the bodies of Anderson and Ingram, both of whom had sustained gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the location.
In the period following the discovery, law enforcement officials appealed to the public for assistance. It was noted that the area where the vehicle was found typically experienced heavy foot traffic, leading investigators to believe that there may have been witnesses to the incident. St. Louis Regional Crime Stoppers issued a bulletin seeking any information that could lead to an arrest in the case.
Despite these calls for public assistance and the ongoing investigation, there have been no announced arrests or naming of any suspects in the years following the deaths of Deja Anderson and Anthony Ingram. The case remains an open and unsolved homicide.
