On January 20, 2024, at approximately 8:59 p.m., Springfield police officers responded to a reported shooting at 930 N. Rogers Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 34-year-old Dustin Pruitt inside the residence, suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel transported Pruitt to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
