Death by Force

On January 28, 2024, 25-year-old Tawan Ward was fatally shot in St. Louis' Downtown West neighborhood. The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. near the intersection of 16th and Pine Streets, where police found Ward in the street with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and back. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
