On February 1, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., 33-year-old Corey Lee Bilger was fatally shot at the FastLane gas station located in the 1000 block of West Boulevard in Columbia, Missouri. According to reports, Bilger was pumping gas when 18-year-old Seth Andrew Brinegar arrived at the station. An exchange of words ensued, during which Brinegar accused Bilger of following him.
