In the early hours of February 22, 2024, the quiet of a Springfield, Missouri neighborhood was broken by the sound of gunshots. When police responded to the area near South Campbell Avenue and Walnut Lawn Street at approximately 12:22 a.m., they discovered evidence of a potential crime scene in the road. Not long after, at 12:36 a.m., 19-year-old Reggie Carey and 21-year-old Trevin Dicks arrived at Cox South Hospital, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite medical efforts, both men succumbe ...
