In the early hours of March 17, 2024, the quiet of a Kansas City, Missouri neighborhood was broken by a grim discovery. Responding to a call at approximately 1:26 a.m., police found the body of 35-year-old Levi Warner near 94th Terrace and Cable Road, in close proximity to the Parc at Creekside Apartments. Mr. Warner, a Black/African American male, had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services.
Homicide detectives immediately began
a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Warner's death. They canvassed the area, searching for potential witnesses and collecting evidence in an effort to piece together the events that led to the shooting. Despite their efforts, authorities did not immediately have any information regarding a suspect or suspects.
As the investigation continues, the Kansas City Police Department has urged anyone with information to come forward. A substantial reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for any information that leads to an arrest in the case.
