In the early morning hours of April 18, 2024, a violent tragedy unfolded in the Delmar Loop entertainment district of St. Louis, Missouri. Cortez Jackson, a 29-year-old Black male, was present in the 6100 block of Delmar Boulevard when a shooting broke out shortly after 2:00 a.m. The area, known for its vibrant nightlife and cultural attractions, became the scene of a triple shooting that drew an immediate response from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
