On the night of December 21, 2019, violence erupted in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri, claiming the lives of two individuals and leaving a third critically injured. Police officers were summoned to the 5700 block of Labadie Avenue just before midnight, responding to reports of a shooting in the area. Upon their arrival, first responders discovered a chaotic scene where three people had been struck by gunfire.
Among the victims was 18-year-old Donrico Green, a
young male resident of the city. He was found at the scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the arrival of emergency personnel, Green succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the location. Alongside him, authorities found 42-year-old Roneta Woodfork, who had also sustained fatal gunshot wounds during the incident. She was similarly pronounced deceased at the scene by medical staff.
A third victim, identified only as a 38-year-old male, survived the initial attack but was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. He was treated for his injuries and later listed as stable. In the immediate aftermath of the double homicide, St. Louis police launched an investigation but reported no suspects in custody. Law enforcement officials did not immediately release information regarding a potential motive for the triple shooting, and details concerning any subsequent arrests or charges have not been made public.
