On June 24, 2024, 16-year-old Tytus Nasir Bridgeford was found deceased in the parking lot of Dayspring Pentecostal Church, located near Bannister and Raytown roads in Kansas City, Missouri. Police responded to a call around 9:30 a.m. and discovered Bridgeford with apparent gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
