On July 3, 2024, 27-year-old Christopher Lamar Henderson Sr. was fatally shot during an altercation inside an apartment at the Ethans Apartments complex in Kansas City's Northland area. Responding to reports of a shooting around 6 a.m., police found Henderson unresponsive; he was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
