On July 4, 2024, at approximately 1 a.m., 22-year-old Tykeedra Henderson was fatally shot while sitting in her car at a QuikTrip gas station located at 31st Street and Southwest Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri. According to police reports, unknown suspects fired into her vehicle from outside, causing it to roll to a stop on the south side of the parking lot, where officers found her unresponsive. Emergency Medical Services pronounced her dead at the scene.
