On July 25, 2024, 52-year-old Anthony Lewis was fatally shot in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident occurred shortly after midnight near 24th Street and Brighton Avenue. Upon arrival, police found Lewis deceased next to a house.

Investigators believe that an argument between Lewis and the suspect inside the house escalated into a shooting. The Kansas City Police Department reported that a suspect was arrested in connection with the incident.
