In the spring of 2019, the life of 16-year-old Jaris R. Wilson was cut tragically short in a burst of violence in Kansas City, Missouri. On the afternoon of May 28th, police responded to a reported shooting in the 11800 block of East 60th Street. There, in the backyard of a home, they discovered Wilson, who had been fatally shot. Another teenager, a male in his late teens, was found nearby with serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
