On the afternoon of Friday, April 5, 2024, a violent incident occurred in Kansas City, Missouri, resulting in the death of a 39-year-old male named Christopher J. Ball. Law enforcement officers were dispatched to the 5600 block of East 31st Street around 1:00 p.m. after receiving calls regarding the sound of gunfire in the area. The location of the shooting was situated approximately three miles from Arrowhead Stadium.
Upon arriving at the scene near the intersection with Oakley Avenue, first responders discovered Ball inside a vehicle, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
