Death by Force

On November 10, 2024, at approximately 1 p.m., Kansas City police responded to reports of a shooting near Truman Road and Ewing Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered two individuals inside a vehicle, both suffering from gunshot wounds. The driver, identified as 41-year-old Steven S. Dowland, was pronounced dead at the scene.
