In the early hours of a spring day in Kansas City, Missouri, the life of a young man was tragically cut short. Chandler Brewer, a 22-year-old Black male, was found fatally shot just after midnight on May 8, 2021. The quiet of the night was broken by the sound of gunshots, leading Kansas City Police Department officers to an apartment complex in the 8800 block of Crystal Lane.
