In the early evening of January 13, 2024, the life of 20-year-old Joel Maldonado was tragically cut short on a street in Camden, New Jersey. A young man, Maldonado, was fatally shot in an incident that marked the city's second gun-related homicide of the new year. The male victim was found with gunshot wounds on the 800 block of Grant Street, a discovery made by Camden County Police who were alerted to the gunfire by a ShotSpotter activation at approximately 6:31 p.m.
