On a Sunday evening in April 2024, tragedy struck in Newark's South Ward, forever altering the lives of those connected to Deshaun Winston. A resident of East Orange, the 40-year-old man was found unresponsive on the 300 block of Osborne Terrace following reports of gunfire at approximately 8:43 p.m. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Mr. Winston lying outside.
