On May 10, 2024, at approximately 10 p.m., Jersey City police responded to reports of gunfire near Pearsall and Garfield Avenues. Upon arrival, officers discovered 24-year-old Resheed Wallace with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
