On April 23, 2007, 38-year-old Joyce Yolanda Davenport was found dead in her apartment in northwest Oklahoma City. Concerned after being unable to reach her, a family member checked on her the day before and knocked on her door, but received no response. When they returned the next morning and still got no answer, they contacted the apartment manager, who entered the residence and discovered Joyce's body.
