In the late summer evening of August 29, 2016, the life of 30-year-old Kyell C. Jeter of Maplewood, New Jersey, was tragically cut short. On a Monday night, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Jersey City police were dispatched to Woodlawn Avenue, between Ocean and Garfield avenues, following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered a harrowing scene.
Jeter was found unresponsive, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
Emergency medical services were promptly on the scene and transported the critically injured man to the Jersey City Medical Center. Despite their efforts, Kyell C.
