In the early morning hours of July 7, 2024, Elizabeth Police Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 400 block of Westminster Avenue in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Upon arrival, they discovered two adult males with gunshot wounds. One of the victims, identified as 47-year-old Jose Aranzamendi, was transported to a local hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
