On January 14, 2023, Richmond Police responded to a residence in the 2400 block of Richdale Road following a report of a person down. Upon arrival, officers discovered 68-year-old Kathy Brashier unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound; she was pronounced dead at the scene. In the same residence, they found her son, 49-year-old Lee Blair, also deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
