In the early morning hours of January 23, 2023, the life of James Thompson, a 46-year-old man from Newport News, was tragically cut short in Hampton, Virginia. Police responded to a call about a trespassing complaint near the intersection of West Pembroke Avenue and Parrish Avenue. Upon their arrival at approximately 5:54 a.m., they discovered Mr. Thompson lying near the roadway, suffering from a gunshot wound.
