On January 30, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Hampton, Virginia, resulting in the deaths of Dijonte Nash, age 24, and Destiny Layton, age 25, who was eight months pregnant at the time. The shooting took place at an apartment complex off West Mercury Boulevard around 9:45 PM.
