In the quiet evening of February 21, 2023, the Timberland Apartments in Charlottesville, Virginia, became the scene of a sudden and tragic event. Responding to reports of shots fired shortly after 9:30 p.m., Albemarle County Police officers discovered a man in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. The man was identified as 34-year-old Joshua Lamont Jones, a resident of Charlottesville.
