On the evening of October 19, 2024, at approximately 8 p.m., Albemarle County Police and Fire Rescue units responded to reports of multiple gunshots in the 1600 block of Rio Hill Drive, an area near Fashion Square Mall in Albemarle County, Virginia. Upon arrival, officers discovered 23-year-old Charlottesville resident Zerrion Eubanks-Warfield deceased at the scene.
