On February 28, 2023, in Fairfax, Virginia, 73-year-old Eva Anna Vas was found deceased alongside her husband, 86-year-old Janos John Gertler, in their home on Walker Street. A friend discovered the couple's bodies around 10:15 p.m. and alerted the authorities. Both individuals had sustained gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.
