On March 3, 2023, at approximately 11:35 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of South Reynolds Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered the young man suffering from trauma to his upper body. First aid was rendered at the scene until rescue personnel could transport him to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead. The cause of death was later ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
