In the quiet of a late winter evening in Richmond, Virginia, the life of 39-year-old Asha Hite, a Black female, was tragically cut short. On March 8, 2023, Richmond Police officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Hollister Avenue around 10:02 p.m. to support the Richmond Fire Department on a call. Upon their arrival, they discovered Ms. Hite inside a home, suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
