In the pre-dawn hours of May 19, 2023, the life of a young Richmond woman was tragically cut short. Diamond Reneé Cox, a 21-year-old female, was found with a gunshot wound in Henrico County. Police responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 3:41 a.m. in the 3400 block of Howard Road. There, outside one of the apartment buildings, they discovered Cox on the ground. Officers immediately began life-saving measures until emergency medical services arrived.
