On March 9, 2023, at approximately 10:16 p.m., Richmond Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 00 block of Gladstone Avenue in the Brookland Park neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered 55-year-old Richmond resident Eddie Lee Horne Jr. suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
