On May 6, 2023, at approximately 3:16 a.m., 25-year-old Keshawn Hawkins was fatally shot in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven convenience store located in the 500 block of Aberdeen Road in Hampton, Virginia. Another 25-year-old man, Jonathan Johnson Jr., also suffered gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
