On the evening of October 25, 2016, in Hampton, Virginia, a young man's life was cut short by a sudden act of violence. Travuan Rouser, a 19-year-old male, was standing outside a residence on Ethel Drive when the sound of gunfire shattered the night's quiet. Hampton Police officers were dispatched to the scene following a 'shots fired' call, which was quickly upgraded to a shooting.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered Travuan Rouser next to a silver Altima, having sustained a gunshot
wound. The vehicle nearby showed evidence of the attack, with its rear passenger window shot out and the frame marked by several bullet impacts. Emergency medical services transported Rouser to a local hospital, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Investigators determined that a newer-model white vehicle had approached Rouser before unknown individuals inside opened fire. The vehicle was last seen heading toward Briarfield Road.
