In the quiet hours of a summer night in Petersburg, Virginia, the life of 10-year-old K’Von Marquese Morgan was tragically cut short. On June 17, 2023, the young male was inside his bedroom in the Pecan Acres apartment complex, enjoying the first night of his summer vacation watching a movie with his best friend. Shortly before 1 a.m., multiple stray bullets pierced through his window, striking him. K'Von was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries.
