On July 24, 2023, 29-year-old Eric Holmes Jr. was fatally shot in Alexandria, Virginia. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the 800 block of West Glebe Road, near a playground area in a residential neighborhood. Holmes was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
