Jahari George, a 20-year-old male engineering student at Norfolk State University, was fatally shot on September 2, 2023. The incident occurred near the Norfolk, Virginia campus while he was sitting in his girlfriend's car. Friends and family described George as a diligent and creative individual who had been an honor roll student. He was just four months away from his 21st birthday and was parked outside his dorm at the time of the shooting.
