On October 28, 2023, in Hopewell, Virginia, 46-year-old Charmel Dawn Mason tragically lost her life due to an accidental shooting at her residence. Authorities responded to a call in the 2000 block of Danville Street around 3:28 p.m., where they discovered Mason with a fatal gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
