In the early hours of Christmas Eve 2023, the festive spirit in a Virginia Beach neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Just after midnight, on December 24th, emergency communications received alerts of shots fired in the 800 block of Riverbend Road. When police arrived at the chaotic scene, they discovered a grim tableau. Two men were found with gunshot wounds.
