In the early evening of January 15, 2024, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of a Virginia Beach neighborhood. Emergency dispatchers received multiple calls around 5:22 PM, reporting a shooting in the 2500 block of Mulberry Loop. When police and rescue personnel arrived at the scene, they found 48-year-old Danny Theis suffering from a gunshot wound.
