On January 15, 2024, at approximately 5:22 PM, Virginia Beach Emergency Communications and Citizen Services received multiple calls reporting a shooting incident in the 2500 block of Mulberry Loop in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Upon arrival, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) and Virginia Beach Rescue found Danny Theis, a 48-year-old resident of Virginia Beach, suffering from a gunshot wound.
