In the early morning hours of June 6, 2024, the life of 35-year-old Kevin Demontry Toler Sr., a Black male, was tragically cut short. Richmond police were called to the 2900 block of Chamberlayne Avenue at approximately 9:02 a.m. following reports of gunfire in the area. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Toler on the ground, having sustained a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
