On a June evening in 2024, a dispute over mechanical services tragically escalated, leading to the death of 52-year-old Romero Strother Cook, a Black male from Clarke County, Virginia. The incident, which began in Clarke County, culminated in a fatal shooting on June 25, 2024, near the Sandy's mobile home community off Fairfax Pike in Frederick County.
