On July 21, 2024, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Norfolk Police responded to a reported shooting in the 2100 block of Pretty Lake Avenue, located in the Ocean View section of Norfolk, Virginia. Upon arrival, officers discovered 24-year-old Norman Andrew Hollowell Jr. suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention, Hollowell was pronounced dead at the scene.
