Kylen Khole Powell, 8, male, was killed late on the night of July 11, 2025, inside his grandmother’s home on Vada Road in Bainbridge, Georgia. Investigators say the 8-year-old was with a 13-year-old cousin when a gun was fired, and deputies arrived to find Kylen deceased at the scene. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in around 11:39 p.m. to assist; the case quickly shifted from a frantic response to a criminal inquiry focused on what happened inside that living room.
