In the summer of 2024, a young man's life was cut short by violence in Newport News, Virginia. Twenty-year-old Kamron D'Andre Thompson was fatally shot on the evening of Friday, July 26, 2024. The incident occurred in the 500 block of Settlement Lane, where police responded to a report of a shooting.
