On April 8, 2023, 40-year-old Travis "Honcho" Taylor, a well-known social media influencer from Columbia, South Carolina, was fatally shot at an apartment complex on Metze Road. Deputies from the Richland County Sheriff's Department responded to reports of gunfire around 5 a.m. and found Taylor lying face down in a hallway with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
