In the early morning hours of November 16, 2015, the life of 40-year-old Richard Gilmore was tragically cut short in Columbia, South Carolina. Gilmore was standing on the porch of a residence in the 1100 block of Queen Street when he was struck by gunfire at approximately 1:30 a.m. When Columbia Police Department officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Gilmore on the porch, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his upper body.
