Desmond Williams, a 15-year-old from Columbia, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on May 10, 2021. Desmond was one of two teenagers shot at the Madison Station Apartments on Ulmer Road in southeast Columbia. The incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m., and Desmond was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The other victim, 17-year-old Reginald Nixon Jr., died at the scene. Both deaths were ruled homicides by Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford.
